If you need to develop a customized PCB connector, you may face the following two choices. Pin insert injection or pin assembly. So what’s the difference between the two?
The two are mainly different in the production process, and the mold cost is about the same. The pin assembly connector is assembled by manual or automaton after the plastic housing is produced. The following video shows you how the full automatic produce.
The pin insert injection connector is put the metal pin into the mold and injects the molten plastic into the plastic mold by pressure.
